In anatomy, my class a few months ago received “new” cats to dissect. It was very traumatic and heartbreaking to see that many dead cats. People were naming and petting the cats as if they were alive. All I could think was that they each had belonged to someone. My coach once told me last year during the middle of swim practice that they drown them. Apparently euthanization was too costly. Even though I knew it was a bunch of lies, I was still very upset. So in response, I cried my eyes out, and many of my classmates thought that it was “sort of” a reasonable reaction to the situation at hand. So, a little known truth is that while most people think that dead cats cause me to cry, it’s actually any cute cat, dead or alive that causes me to cry involuntarily.
Cats are one of the most common, domestic house pets a person can own. This has been the perfect companion for a person such as myself. They all seem to have their own quirks and personality that adds to their cute apperance. Unlike most, I find each and everyone of them to be adorable. People can argue that hairless cats are the most hidiouss, but despite that particular quality, there seems to be no problem for me to find the best in them.
Although, the problem will be that I'll cry when I see any cat. It just happens. Just recently before a test in expos, my class and I watched a compilation of funny cat videos. Sitting there and viewing all the funny faces and exaggerated expressions they make are just too cute. I know that this is all very odd and weird, but for some strange reason it just happens. Let’s face it, I’ll die alone with only my pets for comfort.
In all, cats have been the source of entertainment for many, and growing up with these cute mini felions that are always around has only expanded my love for them. It is easy to say that one day I could quite possible be a crazy cat lady, if not already.
No matter if there is a neighbours cat walking the street, a cat playing with a toy, a cat making silly faces in a video, or even a cat lying in a plastic body bag on the floor of hell, I WILL CRY.
